Healing Village Experience: Community Format

Investment: $750 ($150 deposit)
Time: 90 minutes

Event must be scheduled

at least 2 weeks in advance

This experience is ideal when the goal is to open the conversation, build awareness, increase connection, and provide participants with practical tools for emotional wellness.

Recommended For:

  • Schools introducing trauma-informed practices

  • Community awareness events

  • Staff wellness days

  • Conferences and professional development events

  • Communities recently impacted by violence, loss, or crisis

  • Organizations seeking an introduction to healing-centered engagement

  • Groups unfamiliar with healing-centered practices

Facilitation Team:

  • 1-2 trained facilitators

  • Mobile Healing Room available when appropriate

  • Additional support staff available upon request

  • Guided arrival and grounding

  • Structured reflection

  • Film-based storytelling experience

  • Facilitated large group conversation

Healing Village Experience:

Small Group Format

Investment: $1,997 ($250 deposit)
Time: 2.5 hours

Event must be scheduled

at least 2 weeks in advance

This experience is ideal when participants need dedicated space to process experiences, strengthen connections, and begin moving from awareness toward healing.

 Limited to (45 guest, Increased cost for larger groups.) Recommended For:

  • Families impacted by homicide, overdose, suicide, or sudden loss

  • Teams experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, or secondary trauma

  • Youth groups processing a shared tragedy or critical incident

  • Faith communities supporting members through grief and loss

  • Organizations seeking deeper engagement and meaningful dialogue

  • Communities struggling with unresolved grief or trauma

Facilitation Team:

  • Up to 3 trained facilitators

  • Healing support staff as appropriate

  • Mobile Healing Room available when appropriate

  • Resource navigation support available

  • Small group breakout conversations

  • Deeper facilitated reflection (3 facilitators)

Limited to (45 guest, Increased cost for larger groups.)  Recommended For:

  • Communities recovering from violence or collective trauma

  • Individuals and groups carrying unresolved grief

  • Survivors of homicide, overdose, suicide, and traumatic loss

  • Leadership teams experiencing chronic stress and burnout

  • Organizations committed to long-term healing and culture change

  • Retreats, recovery initiatives, and intensive healing experiences

  • Groups seeking deep restoration, renewal, and transformation

Healing Access & Sponsored Healing Initiative

At Rivers in the Desert, we believe healing should not be reserved only for those with the resources to pay for it.

Through our Healing Access & Sponsored Healing Initiative, a limited number of Healing Village Experiences may be offered at reduced cost through support provided by donors, foundations, corporate partners, and community sponsors.

Priority consideration is given to:

  • Communities impacted by violence, homicide, suicide, overdose, or traumatic loss

  • Schools serving high-need populations

  • Grassroots and neighborhood-based organizations

  • Underserved communities with limited access to healing resources

  • Communities responding to a recent critical incident or crisis

Organizations interested in sponsorship consideration should inquire during the consultation process.

Funding assistance is limited and not guaranteed.
